Traditionally dyed with fermented mud in Mali, this fabric is made in the same way but dyed with indigo (another fermented dye!)
This feels like a very soft canvas. Could be used in upholstery, bags, or in garments such as jackets. Or just appreciated as-is!
As this is dyed with indigo, which has a tendency to rub off or bleed, be careful what you do with it. You could wash it with a cup of vinegar to help remove any excess color and set the dye.
